One group, one vehicle and a local driver-guide who sets the route and the stops around what you want to walk, across 6 to 10 hours in the park.
Updated 22 October 2026
A Valley of Fire private tour on this site runs 6 to 10 hours and starts from $180 per booking, with a rating of 5.0 ★ (212 reviews). The booking covers a private vehicle, a local driver-guide, all activities, bottled water, snacks and beverages, and the fuel surcharge. Gratuities are not included.
The guide, Adam, has been leading outdoor adventures for over ten years and builds the hiking routes himself instead of running a fixed stop list, with safety as the first consideration. He also photographs the day as you go and passes on the images at no extra cost. Your group stays on its own: no other booking is added to the vehicle.
The park sits 55 miles north-east of Las Vegas, about an hour by road off Interstate 15 at exit 75. The length of this tour is the point of it, since ten hours is enough to combine the roadside stops with real walking on the sandstone, which a half-day trip cannot do. Since 3 August 2026 the West Entrance has been closed Monday to Thursday for construction of a new entrance lane and a second fee booth, so on those days the approach is through the East Entrance via State Route 169 or State Route 167.
Season decides how much walking is possible. From 15 May to 30 September the park authority closes every trail longer than one mile under its heat rule, which covers White Domes Loop, the Fire Wave and the Seven Wonders loop with Pink Canyon, Pinnacles Loop, Prospect Trail, Arrowhead Trail, Natural Arch Trail and Charlie's Spring; Mouse's Tank, at 0.75 mile, is under the threshold and stays open. Hiking is not recommended above 85 F (29 C), summer highs commonly pass 100 F, and the park authority names spring and autumn as the preferred seasons.
One date range is closed to everyone. The park shuts completely from 1 December to 14 December for maintenance, with all commercial activity prohibited, guided tours included. In 2026 that runs Tuesday 1 December to Monday 14 December, and normal operations resume Tuesday 15 December 2026.
Private vehicle, local driver-guide, all activities, water, snacks and beverages, with the fuel surcharge covered. From $180 per booking, 6 to 10 hours, and your group is never joined with another.

Four options sit side by side below. The tour on this page is the longest, the only one that stretches to ten hours, and the one with the most reviews behind it; the 4WD outing is shorter at 4 to 6 hours and costs more per booking; the five-hour private hike has the lowest starting price of the three private trips; the VIP small-group trip runs 6 to 7 hours and puts you in a vehicle with other travellers.
