Valley of Fire State Park Tickets: Tours That Include Admission

The park has no dated, timed-entry ticket to pre-book, so the five guided trips from Las Vegas on this page carry park admission inside the tour price.

Updated 22 October 2026

In shortThese five tours leave from Las Vegas, run 5.5 to 7 hours, are guided in English and all list Valley of Fire State Park admission or entrance fees among their inclusions. The small-group half day, 6 hours from $99, is the one to take on a first visit. The 5.5-hour luxury day tour, from $196, covers the longest stop list, while the VIP small group gives the widest time window at 6 to 7 hours with prices from $140 per adult.

How Valley of Fire State Park tickets work on these tours

The park has no dated, timed-entry ticket to reserve in advance. Entry is handled per vehicle at a fee booth as you arrive, which is why a search for Valley of Fire State Park tickets brings up tours instead of a reservation page. Each of the five trips here lists park admission, entrance fees or all fees and taxes among its inclusions, so the booth is settled by the vehicle you are riding in.

The park lies 55 miles north-east of Las Vegas, roughly an hour's drive, off Interstate 15 at exit 75. Since 3 August 2026 the West Entrance, the one reached from the interstate, has been closed Monday to Thursday while a new entrance lane and a second fee booth are built, and that is expected to continue through the end of 2026. On those days vehicles come in from the East Entrance via State Route 169 or State Route 167, and the operator chooses the route.

A typical half day inside the park is short on driving and long on stops. Valley of Fire Road runs 7.0 miles between the two fee booths at 35 mph, and White Domes Road branches north for 5.5 miles at 25 mph, about 20 minutes from the Visitor Center to White Domes. The usual stop names on these itineraries are Beehive Rock, Atlatl Rock, Seven Sisters, Rainbow Vista, Elephant Rock and the Visitor Center, which opens daily 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Day use runs sunrise to sunset and day visitors have to be out by sunset.

Two calendar rules decide which months work. The park closes completely from Tuesday 1 December to Monday 14 December 2026 for maintenance, with guided tours, weddings and photo shoots all prohibited and normal operations resuming Tuesday 15 December 2026. From 15 May to 30 September the park authority closes every trail longer than a mile as a heat-safety rule, including White Domes Loop, Fire Wave and the Seven Wonders Loop, Pinnacles Loop, Prospect Trail, Arrowhead Trail, Natural Arch Trail and Charlie's Spring, while Mouse's Tank at 0.75 mile stays open. Spring and autumn are the seasons the park names as preferred, and summer highs commonly pass 100 F.

Designated parking only applies throughout, with no roadside parking anywhere. The park now takes close to one million visitors a year, so the lots at the busiest trailheads fill early in the day, and a morning departure gets you there before they do.

Which one fits you

First visit, nothing to organise: take the small-group half day, 6 hours from $99, rated 5.0 ★ (4125 reviews). It caps at 13 guests, picks up at several locations, includes park admission, and lunch is a deli-style sandwich at Seven Sisters with snacks and bottled water.

If you want trail time rather than viewpoints from the window, the 6-hour day tour from $109 is the simpler of the two walking-oriented options and covers all entrance fees. Wear proper shoes and take sun protection; the operator says so plainly.

Travellers who dislike being rushed should look at the VIP small group, 6 to 7 hours from $140 per adult, in an air-conditioned vehicle with a driver-guide, admission and all fees and taxes. Lunch is not part of it, so eat before pick-up or carry food.

For a guided day with the most review history at mid price, the 6-hour tour from $119 has 4.7 ★ (434 reviews), hotel pick-up on the Strip, bottled water and state park entrance fees included.

Photographers and anyone who wants to tick off the named formations in one run should take the 5.5-hour luxury day tour, from $196 per adult. Its stop list covers the Beehives, Atlatl Rock petroglyphs, the 1930s stone cabins, Rainbow Vista, White Domes Trail and Elephant Rock, plus a Visitor Center stop and a sandwich with chips.

Families with small children usually do better on the half day than on the longest itinerary, because six hours door to door with a sandwich stop is easier to manage than a seven-hour window in the desert.
